Biography
Pastor Cheryl Ann Griffin thinks God has a sense of humor for leading her into ministry, but she can’t imagine doing anything else!
She is married to J. R. Griffin, who is retired from the Air Force and from Thrivent Financial. Together, they have four adult children: Ben, Michael, Kelly and William. Michael is married to Joanna, and they have two sons, Jonathan and Joshua. Kelly is married to Peter McCann, and their daughter is EllaGrace. Haddie Rose is due to arrive in April! William will be married in August to Erin Cornell. J.R. and Cheryl have a French Bulldog whose name is Winston. Contrary to popular belief, Pastor Griffin does like cats.
Pastor Griffin received the BA degree from the College of William and Mary. She worked as an accountant before God led her to the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg, where she received her Master of Divinity degree.
In the Virginia Synod, Pastor Griffin is a member of the VA Synod Council and frequently leads small groups at synod youth events.
